Off grid

Off-the-grid or off-grid generally refers to a self-sufficient way of life that has little dependence on public facilities. Literally translated, “ off the grid ” means switched off from the network. In German, the term can best be translated as network-independent or self-sufficient. In photovoltaics, so-called island systems are used here, i.e. electricity producers, storage devices and consumers that are used independently of the power grid. |
